TRAITOMIC is founded and managed by Gustav Hambraeus, Toni Wendt and Jan Gottlieb. The Traitomic leadership team is supported by a sizable group of highly valuable experts and specialists, all of whom are experienced in plant seed and microbial strain development for the food industry.
Built on a pioneering mentality
Born out of the renowned Carlsberg Research Laboratory located on the top of Valby hill in Copenhagen. CRL has, over one hundred years, accumulated an extensive range of know-how and expertise in perfecting the process of brewing the company’s world beating lager.During this journey, CRL has become a specialist in the development and growing new and improved raw materials and ingredients, which can flourish in almost any type of weather or in any terrain.Carlsberg decided to mobilise the abundance of knowledge within CRL by setting-up a new separate business named Traitomic. This new entity focuses on customers needing support and solutions in the field of new or improved foodstuffs, for both human and animal consumption.
